The
“Bed & Breakfast A Casa di Lia” is in a complex, “Villa
Riccio”, which has several gates. The easiest entrance if you arrive
by bus/underground+tram is from Viale del Vignola 75, 2nd building on the right,
Palazzo 3, Scala A, flat 21 - Pintaldi Sterlini, 5th floor. In case the
gate 75 is locked, use gate 73 Viale del Vignola and then look for palazzo
3, scala A.
From Fiumicino – Leonardo Da Vinci Airport: go
to Termini Railways Station by train Leonardo Express. Tickets cost about
11 euro each. Trains run every 25 minutes and take about the same time
to get to Termini. If you prefer you can take a taxi. It is more convenient
if you are more than 2 persons.
From Ciampino Airport: go to Termini Railways Station
by shuttle bus or by bus to Anagnina, the last stop of underground line A, then
by underground until Termini Station stop or Flaminio stop.
From Termini Railway Station: you can take either bus
910 or underground line A. Tickets are available at newspapers stands, they
cost 1 euro and last 75 minutes. There are also daily, 3 days and weekly
tickets. When you get on the bus/underground, put the ticket inside the machine.
By bus No. 910: (it takes about 25 minutes and it takes
you almost right under the B&B) walk straight ahead outside the main
exit of the station in Piazza dei Cinquecento to platform H. Take the
bus No. 910. Start to get ready to get off after you have passed Palazzetto
dello Sport on your right (it looks like a flying saucer). There will
be a couple of stops in Via Flaminia, then the bus will turn right in
Viale del Vignola (there is a bank on the right corner). Get off at the
next stop Vignola, in Viale del Vignola. Cross the boulevard and come
in from the gate 75 of Viale del Vignola. By Underground line
A: take underground line A, direction Battistini, and get off at Flaminio
stop. Go up to Piazzale Flaminio and take tram No. 2. Get off at the 3rd
stop in Piazzale Manila (there is an Esso petrol station on your left
and Stadio Flaminio on your right). Walk back until the traffic lights.
Turn right in the direction of the buildings in via Flaminia. Turn right
in Via Flaminia, then left in Viale del Vignola. Walk along the left side
of Viale del Vignola for 3 blocks until the gate No. 75.
By taxi: make sure the taxi is a legal, authorized taxi:
it is white and there is written “TAXI” on it and the phone
number of the taxi company on a side. Don’t trust drivers that come
and offer a taxi to you: they will charge you more than the standard price,
that from the airports is about 45 euro, and from the station, about 12
euro. The price shown is not the final price. Ask the driver how much
it will cost to go to Lungotevere Flaminio 48, first, in order not to
have surprises. For any emergency, here are some numbers of taxi companies:
(+39) 06 6645, (+39) 06 3570 or (+39) 06 4994. You can give the taxi driver
the address of Lungotevere Flaminio 48. The building is the 3rd on the
left: Palazzo 3, Scala A, flat 21 – Pintaldi Sterlini, 5th floor.
The gate looks closed but it is usually not. If it does not open even
if you push hard, you can come in from the gate 46 of Lungotevere Flaminio
and then look on your left for palazzo 3, scala A.
By car: from G.R.A., the freeway ring around Rome, the
easiest way is to go out from exit No. 6. There are two exits No. 6: take
that one that goes towards the center of Rome, direction Flaminio, Corso
Francia. Go always straight on, cross Ponte Flaminio, a white marble bridge
with high lighthouses and statues of eagles, cross Corso Francia above
the Olympic Village with the Auditorium on your left and turn right with
Stadio Flaminio on your right. Then straight, direction Roma Centro and
turn right at the end on Lungotevere Flaminio. Lungotevere Flaminio No.
48 is at the end of the next block on the right, before the next traffic
lights. If you come from inside Rome, follow the directions to Auditorium,
Foro Italico, Stadio Olimpico.
Parking: you can park in Lungotevere Flaminio and in
the streets around the block inside the blue lines: it costs 1 euro per
hour, from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. in Lungotevere, and until 8 p.m. in the other
streets. Parking is free on Saturday and Sunday. The closest private garage
is in Via Donatello 67 and costs about 15 euro per day.
